A look at CHM from inside our ministry.

“When Joe first came to converting hearts, I didn’t really think it was going to be as transformational as it was. I had hoped that it was different from everything we had tried up to that point, but could not have anticipated the way God was going to move.” -Erica McRoberts

Three Divisions

Rescue

Our Rescue program is what each individual comes into immediately after detox. This program is a very crucial part in leading men out of addiction towards sobriety and the Lord. Rescue is a minimum 90-day commitment with a very structured approach. Residents live in our main house and are involved in over 190 hours of Bible study and classes along with over 300 hours of serving the community and the ministry. Our Rescue program is designed to take men out of the chaos they were living in and bring them into an environment filled with structure, guidance, and peace. The focus of Rescue is to teach the men how to stop seeking their addiction and how to start seeking Christ.

Recover

God has shown us over the years that there has been a significant piece missing from our ministry. That piece is the transitional step from rehab to sober living. During this time we saw many men who ended up going back to their same hometown and environment or not having anywhere to go back to at all. That led us at CHM to invest in housing for these men to continue to grow in their walk…. Their walk in sobriety but also in Christ. Our Recovery Program consists of two houses for the men who have completed the 90 day Rescue Program as a transition to the next steps. In Recovery, men are allowed to have their vehicle, phone, and off site employment. The men are also required to commit to a local church and be involved in a growth group. We also provide multiple nights a week men can participate in a Bible study to continue their walk and accountability.  The focus of Recovery is to provide that next step of stability before a man goes out on his own.

Restore

Our Restore Program is where the men make that transition to being off site. This is one more step into further freedom while maintaining a close relationship with the ministry and community. During this phase of the program, men are walking out the things they have learned during Rescue and Recovery. The focus here is for the men to apply the things they have learned and grow on the foundation that has been set. Restore is geared towards these men to continue devoting themselves to the apostles teachings and fellowship and for them to take on a discipleship desire for the men currently in Rescue and Recovery.

Two Funds

Inpatient rehab programs require you to live at the treatment facility. As a result, you are paying for housing, meals, staffing, etc. The truth is the cost of inpatient rehab in North Carolina varies greatly from one treatment facility to the next. We strive to keep it as inexpensive as we possibly can for the addict and their family. Some 30-day programs can cost as much as $20,000 for only one month. Here at CHM, we charge just $18,000 for a full three months.

  • Our 90 day residential program only costs $18,000

Each resident that comes into our program is credited $6,000 for working each day with a good attitude. After this credit, the total cost of our program would be $12,000.

  • For those that qualify we have a matching funds program. Not only do we credit your account $6,000 for working, but we also match dollar for dollar up to $6,000. Therefore the total cost of the program would equal $6,000 for you to raise on your own through your family, friends, and church.

  • Each year there are a limited number of full scholarships available to those who qualify. Please contact us to learn more information.

*CHM does not refund any payment for early exit out of our program.

Matching Gifts Fund

Our matching funds program provides assistance to men and families who are capable of raising a portion of the costs connected to their recovery at Converting Hearts.

The cost of a man’s 90 days at CHM is split three ways. The man raises a third of the cost ($3,300) through family, friends, and the local church, a third of the cost is worked off by the man during his time in our program, and a third of the cost is matched by CHM’s generous donors.

Scholarship Fund

Many men come to us alone in their addiction with nowhere to turn. Without resources, family, or friends - they rely on generous supporters to sponsor the full cost of our 90-day Rescue Program ($9,900).
